Fuerteventura options...

I'm going to be in Fuerteventura from tomorrow for a few days, swellshould be plentiful but the wind will be howling N'ly ish by the looks of it.

Anyone been there and surfed in those conditions?

Will have a 4x4 and going with 3 stand-ups, range of abilities.

I've got Spewpits and the Bubble on my wish-list but I think the wind could mess both up.

Any tips appreciated.

If its massive go south, long drive but well worth it, tons of setups down there, uncrowded as well. Pop in the zoo on the way back as well, the Spanish Steve Erwin is classic.

came back from feurte on saturday. Had some good surfs. Surfed a wedge saturday and friday. pretty sick fair play

Cheers, back now, pretty windy all through the trip but got in a few fun surfs.

where to did you get in? El Cotillo?

Cotillo a couple of times, Lobos, Spewpits (I think), some left on the Northern track, and some random little a-frame in front of our hotel.

Had to compromise on the spots we surfed as a couple of the other guys weren't too experienced with reefs or heavier waves.

Got a few pic's but nothing too special.

Spewpits is opposite to the harbour in Cotillio, can't miss it when its on!

yeah, just North of the harbour, I thought it was, but was chatting to a local guy before paddling out who called it something completely different.

There are a few reefs in that bay, there is a sick one further out that goes off, and another by the lagoon at Azzeros

Have you guys been to Fuerteventura? It was one of those island that had always been on my traveling plan but had somehow never visited. But after reading this other article from https://www.canaryislandsinfo.co.uk/fuerteventura/places/ makes me more willing to do some last minute changes on my travel list. They say that the waves in Costa calma and Playa de Sotavento would make a perfect for surfers and many water activities. And if your not into some water action I'm very sure that theirs a lot more to do in this fine island.
